Dr. Fowzia Hakym

Dr. Fowzia Hakym graduated with high honors from the University of Texas Dental Branch at the UTHSC, where she was chosen by the Deans of the school, to be named to the National Dean’s list, every year she was in school. Only one student is chosen per class year to receive this honor. She was also listed in the All American Scholars Collegiate directory. She received the “Southwest Oral Maxillofacial Surgeons Award” ~ a coveted award for surgical excellence and has been named one of Silicon Valley’s TOP DOCS. She is included in America’s Top Dentists, by the Research Council of America.

Dr. Hakym has never stopped learning and is continuously in search to improve her knowledge and technique.

Dr. Hakym moved to California soon after graduation from dental school and had a very successful and well known cosmetic dental practice in San Jose, CA. She returned to Houston in 2013.

For Dr. Hakym, healing is a calling. She comes from a long line of doctors, with over 30 Physicians in her family, many of them right here in the greater Houston area! She believes that for a person to look and feel their very best and most youthful, their entire body has to be in harmony, including their mouth. The connection of oral health with the rest of the body is now fairly well known and accepted. Oral health is related to practically every organ system in the body and this is a topic close to the doc’s heart and she lectured on it in several settings in California.

Teeth support the lower third of the face and where and exactly how they are positioned can dramatically enhance and rejuvenate a face. This knowledge, on eye for harmony and beauty and the latest techniques and technology are all used routinely by Dr. Hakym, in creating beautiful rejuvenating smiles for her patients.

Dr. Hakym is passionate about dentistry and the healing benefits it offers the whole body. It was her extensive experience and training as well as the ability to really listen to her patients that made her a favorite cosmetic dentist among many of the most prominent stars of Silicon Valley.

Dr. Hakym moved back to Houston from California with her teenage son Yusuf to be close to her family. She loves to travel and spent a lot of time in Europe in the past few years learning a new language and experiencing a different way of life. Her son who really enjoyed and benefited from the experience stays in touch with his global group of friends. Her global viewpoint helps her understand the needs and desires of her patients from different points on the globe.
